Duvarlar-Mauern-Walls. Kaum ein Dokument kann in so verdichteter Form die Sichtweisen und Analysen Berliner Migrant*innen wiedergeben zur Zeit der „Wende“. Was bedeutete der „Mauerfall“ ökonomisch für die Migrant*innen, die schon viele Jahre in Berlin arbeiteten? Wie analysieren sie den aufflammenden Rassismus, der sich nur wenig später ...in Mordanschlägen manifestiert? Wir sind Can Candan dankbar für das Vertrauen und können bald das Material zur Forschung und Sichtung in unserem
DOMiD Archiv vorbereiten.
Heute gibt es zudem die Gelegenheit den Film in Köln zu sehen. Im Rahmen der
Filmreihe Tüpisch Türkisch läuft die dreisprachige Dokumentation heute um 19 Uhr im
Filmforum NRW des Museum Ludwig.

Duvarlar-Mauern-Walls. Hardly any other document can express the views and analyzes of Berlin migrants in such a condensed form at the time of the “Wende”. What did the “fall of the wall” mean economically for the migrants who had worked in Berlin for many years? How do they analyze the flaring racism that manifests itself in murder attacks only a little later? We are grateful to Can Candan for the trust and will soon be able to prepare the material for research and review in our archive.
Today there is also the opportunity to see the film in Cologne. As part of the film series "Tüpisch Turkish", the trilingual documentation is running today at 7:00 p.m. in the Filmforum of the Museum Ludwig.
