@𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼 Gab mein Mindskonto schon vor fünf Jahren auf, weil das Ding so extrem spamverseucht war. Leider scheints jetzt nicht besser, wie man auch an dem Blogartikel sieht.

@_jayrope die prinzipielle Möglichkeit dass man sich verbinden könnte interessiert mich immer wieder... aber je mehr das quasi zum Standard wird werden die Filter- und Blockfunktionen immer bedeutender

What will probably happen is what happened to XMPP :-)

The money throwing companies will not understand RFC's but hear about the next gen money making. They hire a company to build them a website to run ApEnabledShizzle.in software.

Furthermore, they see others do that too and feel fuckedintheass.wrongly and start cases against the companies. .... until a judge explains licenses

Well, the general discussions in several places seems to target away from Mastodon due to their way of implementing ActivityPub, companies and/or organizations can however make own versions and soon they might implement new functions that is not mentioned in the specs.

This was more or less done with xmmp too. Once there where bridges towards icq, msn, gtalk, etc... They all closed it down. Xmmp still exists but not like people once had

Minds and Nostr are just early signs, it can't be stopped unless we close the specs.
